Campaniaino is a former State of Hawaii Insurance Commissioner, and former Regent of both University of Hawaii and Chaminade University.
Campaniano has served as a trustee for HMSA Foundation, Pacific and Asian Affairs Council, Hawaii Labor Heritage Foundation, Public Schools of Hawaii, Great Aloha Run, State Stadium Authority, Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii, UH Foundation, and Hawaii Business Roundtable.
Campaniano is also a director for the Hawaii Insurers Council Political Action Committee; vice chair for Aloha United Way and the Crown Prince Akihito Scholarship Foundation.
Campaiano also serves as incoming president of the UH Foundation. He is a board director for the Filipino Community Center and the Hawaii Labor Heritage Foundation.
