John H. Dasburg has been Director since 1994 and Lead Director since
November 2006.
Mr. Dasburg is Chairman, President, CEO and Co-owner of ASTAR Air Cargo,
Inc., an air cargo service company. He has been in that position since April 2003.
Previously, from 2000, Mr. Dasburg was Chairman of Burger King Corporation,
and also held the positions of President and Chief Executive Officer from 2001 to
2002.
Prior to Burger King, John Dasburg served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Northwest Airlines from 1989 through 2000. From 1980 to 1989 he held a number of positions at Marriott Corporation, including President of The Lodging Group, Chief Financial Officer, and Chief Real Estate Officer. From 1973 to 1980, Mr. Dasburg was a Tax Partner for KPMG Peat Marwick.
Mr. Dasburg is a director on the boards of non-profit organizations, Mayo Foundation, Florida Council of 100, Mercy Hospital, and Mercy Foundation and a member of the Board of Governors of the Florida State University System.
John Dasburg is also a member of the Board of Directors of the for-profit corporation, WCI Communities, Inc., in which Kamehameha Schools/Bishop Estate and The MacArthur Foundation have substantial financial interests.
John Dasburg is expected to testify regarding the current fraud investigations involving St. Paul Travelers, and his business, professional, personal and political relationships with Kamehameha Schools/Bishop Estate, WCI Communities, Al Hoffman, Lawrence L. Landry, Westport Advisors, Governor John Rowland, Paul Silvester, Hamilton McCubbin, Dee Jay Mailer, The MacArthur Foundation, Adele Smith Simmons, Marsh & McLennan, Putnam Investments, Matsuo Takabuki, Gilbert Tam, Robert Kihune, Henry Paulson, Henry Peters, Lyn Anzai, Nathan Aipa, Colleen Wong, Frank Carlucci, The Carlyle Group, American Express, Evan Dobelle, University of Hawaii, Burger King, Diageo, TPG, Jon Symonds, KPMG, Goldman Sachs, Texas Pacific Group, Harrahs, Marriott Hotels, Maui Land Use Commission, A&B Properties, Sanford Murata, Linda Lingle, James “Kimo” Apana, Judith Neustadter Fuqua, Northwest Airlines, DHL, Hawaiian Airlines, Joshua Gotbaum, Lyn Anzai, Earl Anzai, John Waihee, Verner, Liipfert, Bernhard & McPherson, and other entities to be named upon discovery.
