JUDGE: Hon. David Ezra

DEFENDANT’S WITNESS
MARK FOLEY
Former Republican Representative from Florida.
Address to be determined.
In late September 2006, Foley resigned from the House after the public revelation of "over-friendly" emails and sexually suggestive instant message conversations he had with teenage congressional pages. At House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi's urging, the chamber voted unanimously to direct the House Ethics Committee to begin an investigation into Foley's behavior. In early October, the FBI also announced that it would be investigating his actions. Soon after, the Department of Justice sent a "preservation letter" to the House counsel ordering the House to preserve all documents and other materials possibly related to Foley's electronic correspondence with House pages. FBI agents also began searching the country for other pages that may have had contact with Foley. Officials indicated that the investigation thus far was into whether Foley had violated laws against crossing state lines or using electronic communications to entice a minor into sexual acts.
This witness is expected to testify regarding his business, professional, political and personal relationships with John Dasburg, WCI Communities, Prudential, Jack Abramoff; Dan Inouye; Bill Frist; Tom DeLay; Dee Jay Mailer; Dirk Kempthorne; Gale Norton; The Bureau of Indian Affairs; Daniel Akaka; The Nature Conservancy; Neil Abercrombie; Ed Case; Nainoa Thompson; Mark Souder; Rowena Akana; John Waihee III; John Waihee IV; Office of Hawaiian Affairs; Tom Cole; The Council For National Policy; The Carlyle Group; American Insurance Group (AIG); James Baker; Goldman Sachs; Richard Rainwater; Linda Lingle; Condoleezza Rice; Dick Cheney; Donald Rumsfeld; Henry Kissinger; Robert Dole; Elizabeth Hanford Dole; James Ahloy; Aloha Petroleum; Enron; Chevron-Texaco; Robert F.
