Emergent BioSolutions expanding Lansing BioPort operation

LANSING – Governor Jennifer M. Granholm today participated in a cornerstone ceremony at BioPort Corporation in Lansing. In celebrating the company’s new facility, Granholm said the company and its decision to expand in Michigan is evidence that her comprehensive economic plan is paying dividends.

“We have the most comprehensive, aggressive jobs plan in the nation,” Granholm said. “It’s a six-point plan to create jobs today and jobs tomorrow and ensure that everyone in Michigan has the tools they need to compete.”

BioPort Corporation, a subsidiary of Emergent BioSolutions, is the nation’s only FDA-approved manufacturer of the anthrax vaccine in the United States. The company announced in February that it will invest $75 million to build a new 50,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Lansing. The expansion was made possible, in part, by a single business tax credit offered by the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC). The company was considering building their new facility in Maryland.

“BioPort’s decision to stay and expand in Michigan is clear evidence that our efforts to attract and retain high-tech, cutting edge companies is beginning to pay dividends,” said Granholm. “As a leader in the biodefense industry, BioPort will serve as a critical anchor in our efforts to diversify into homeland security and defense through our 21st Century Jobs Fund.”...

Few men, active or retired, are more despised in the military today than Admiral William C. Crowe.

"His name is now a curse word in the Navy," says a lieutenant commander in Pensacola, who asked that his identity be withheld. But L. "Mike" Keating, a highly-respected submariner and career Navy man from Arizona, told us he considers Crowe to be "nothing more than a political whore."

"Ronald Reagan was a great president, in my opinion," the retired vet said, "and he made Crowe chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. That was a big mistake. He didn't know the admiral would back-stab the party for a promise from a politician who said he "loathed the military." [Former President William Clinton, the record will show, rewarded Crowe with the job of Ambassador to Great Britain after the Republican "brass hat" endorsed the Democrat's 1992 election bid.]

MAKING MONEY ON THE BACKS OF OUR MILITARY MEMBERS

But the most anger is reserved for Crowe's crass and cruel profiteering on the backs of our soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines with his part ownership of Bioport, the trouble-plagued Michigan drug-making facility that has an exclusive deal with the government to "manufacture" so-called Anthrax "vaccine" to allegedly "protect" our troops.

In reality, the plant was shut down numerous times by the FDA due to "unsanitary conditions" and court battles have raged for years trying to halt the use of the controversial drug after several service members died and many more were crippled.

Perhaps the worst crime of all was the many members of the military who were court-martialed or lost their careers because they refused to be "guinea-pigged" by the experimental "vaccine."

Earlier on these pages, [see our story: GREED AND GUINEA PIGS below], we exposed Crowe's "sweetheart deal" with then-President Clinton and his non-veteran, former Secretary of Defense William Cohen.

WHAT KIND OF "HUMAN BEING" IS THIS?

Millions of dollars of taxpayers' money was poured into the Michigan plant, despite loud protests from many quarters of the nation. It was akin to Al Capone "dictating" that all Americans would now drink Blatz Beer, and only Blatz Beer. In fact, if they didn't drink it, they could go to jail or lose their livelihoods. Since the Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines are a captive audience and must obey all orders, it was a $CAM that riveled the Mafia for fiendish profit.

And that leads us to ask what kind of man, what kind of so-called "human-being," would make money off such misery inflicted on our nation's service members and their families?

Don't you have enough money already from your fat pension, you old pirate, to not have to participate in such evil?

Can you look yourself in the mirror in the morning, knowing you became a "prostitute" for the likes of self-proclaimed "war hero" John Kerry?

What kind of reception do you think you would get at the Naval Academy today? Or Pensacola, San Diego or Norfolk?

You have no shame, Admiral Crowe. You are a disgrace to the uniform.

AN OPEN LETTER TO SEN. DANIEL INOUYE

Dear Senator,

Everyone at MilitaryCorruption.com salutes you for your distinguished service to our country, in peace and war.

You are a man who lost an arm in combat, who received the Congressional Medal of Honor. Not only Hawaii, but all Americans - especially veterans - respect what you have done for our nation.

We have noted that the U.S. Navy Memorial Foundation, in a "black tie gala" (sponsored by all the big defense contractors) at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Washington on October 25th, is presenting you with the Naval Heritage Award.

Of course you deserve that accolade and many more, but senator, by appearing on the same dais with the likes of William Crowe, what does that say to your many constituents in Hawaii and military members all over America who are at this very moment fighting a courageous battle against the forced anthrax shot program?

This "vaccine" has not been proven to work, in fact, quite the contrary. Yet, selfish politicians who have a big financial stake in the program - chief among them, retired Adm. Crowe - care only about how much money they can make.

Please senator, don't lend your considerable prestige to this event. Advertisements for the dinner nowhere reveal that "awardee" Crowe is chairman of the board of the very organization "honoring" him. He wants men like you and former Boston Celtics coach "Red" Auerbach to sit next to him to lend him an air of "respectibility."

That is like planting posies next to a dung heap. The stink is still overpowering.

We urge you to reconsider attending such a function and thank you for reading this heartfelt plea.
