Larry A. Silverstein (born 1932 in Bedford-Stuyvesant in Brooklyn, New York) is an American billionaire real estate investor and operator and the head of Silverstein Properties, a real estate development group. Silverstein is also a member of New York University's Board of Trustees. Silverstein was the leaseholder of the World Trade Center property at the time of the September 11, 2001 attacks and currently oversees its reconstruction.

In 1980 Larry Silverstein won a bid to lease and develop the last undeveloped parcel from the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey to build 47-story 7 World Trade Center.
Background
Larry Silverstein graduated from New York University in 1952, and married in 1956. He also attended classes at Brooklyn Law School. He and his wife, Klara, have three children: Lisa, Roger and Sharon.
Silverstein became involved in real estate, together with his late father, Harry G. Silverstein, and then friend and brother-in-law, the late Bernard Mendik, buying buildings in Manhattan. In 1957, they established Silverstein Properties, as Harry G. Silverstein & Sons, and bought their first building. Mendik and Silverstein continued the business after Harry's death in 1966. In 1977, Mendik divorced Annette Mendik Silverstein, with the business partnership also splitting up at that time. Mendik also cited disagreements over real estate strategies, with Mendik wanting to buy buildings while Silverstein wanted to build.
World Trade Center
During the 1990s, New York was suffering from the effects of Black Monday (1987) leading to high vacancy rates at the World Trade Center. George Pataki became governor of New York in 1995 on a campaign of cutting costs including privatizing the World Trade Center. A sale of the property was considered too complex, so it was decided by the Port Authority to open a 99-year lease to competitive bidding.
In January 2001, Silverstein, via Silverstein Properties and Westfield America, made a $3.2 billion bid for the lease to the World Trade Center. Silverstein was outbid by $50 million by Vornado Realty, with Boston Properties and Brookfield Properties also competing for the lease. However, Vornado withdrew and Silverstein's bid for the lease to the World Trade Center was accepted on July 24, 2001, seven weeks before the buildings were destroyed in the September 11, 2001 attacks. This was the first time in the building's 31-year history that the complex had changed management.
The deal was described in a press release on July 24, 2001:
"Silverstein Properties, Inc., and Westfield America, Inc. will lease the Twin Towers and other portions of the complex in a deal worth approximately $3.2 billion – the city's richest real estate deal ever and one of the largest privatization initiatives in history. "
The lease agreement applied to One, Two, Four and Five World Trade Center, and about 425,000 square feet of retail space. Silverstein put up only $14 million of his own money . Silverstein was also given the right to rebuild the structures, should they be destroyed....

An East Bay attorney and mediator will play a pivotal role in determining the amount of loss resulting from the World Trade Center's destruction at the hands of terrorists Sept. 11, 2001.
Randall W. Wulff of Piedmont was selected Tuesday by U.S. District Chief Judge Michael B. Mukasey of New York to be chief umpire on a three-person appraisal panel that will address reconstruction costs as well as rental value and business interruption damages. Hearings are expected to begin later this year.
The battle over the monetary costs of the World Trade Center's destruction, and who will be paid how much for those costs, has become almost as twisted as the wreckage of the towers. And the battle has turned somewhat political, with New York officials touting the rebuilding of Ground Zero as crucial to the region's economic recovery.
World Trade Center leaseholder Larry Silverstein claims his insurers owe him almost twice their policy limits -- as much as $6.8 billion -- based on a switch in insurance forms that he believes recognizes the two impacts by two hijacked jet airliners as two separate losses. His claim went to a six-man, six-woman federal jury Monday after a 10-week trial.
After the jury -- and those in future proceedings involving other members of Silverstein's jury pool -- has determined the extent of the insurers' liability, it'll be up to Wolff's panel to determine what the actual losses are.
Wulff was with San Francisco's Farella, Braun and Martel from 1974 -- first as a trial lawyer, and from 1994 on as a "neutral" mediator -- until 2000, when he cofounded Oakland's Wulff Quinby Sochynsky, which exclusively provides mediation, arbitration and other alternative dispute resolution services.
He has helped settle almost 2,000 cases in the past 15 years, including the recent $1.1 billion settlement of the California class action against Microsoft. He also has helped resolve monetary disputes related to renovation of the Oakland Arena and construction of other high-profile projects from ballparks to Las Vegas casinos. And he has authored, edited or co-edited books on alternative dispute resolution.
His firm's Web site says his daily fee is $9,500 for cases in the Bay Area or Sacramento, $11,000 for cases elsewhere.
Wulff holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Oregon, attended the Netherlands Institute of International Business and holds a law degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco.

All the evidence suggests that 9/11 was an Israeli false flag operation, carried out with the assistance of key individuals and elements within the United States by a Zionist elite. One of these individuals is Larry Silverstein, who purchased the 99 year lease on the World Trade Center complex in July 2001 and who oversaw control of the complex before and during the attacks, along with Australian real estate tycoon Frank Lowy of Westfield America.
Silverstein and Lowy are good friends, and Silverstein has been a director of Lowy's Westfield America since May 1997. Silverstein is connected to the Zionist elite in Israel in numerous ways, most notably via his close association and friendship with no less than three former Israeli prime ministers, namely Benjamin Netanyahu, Ariel Sharon and Ehud Barak. Silverstein is especially close to Benjamin Netanyahu who was in New York on the morning of 9/11, and who fathered the "war on terror" doctine. According to Haaretz.com, "Many Israeli politicians are acquainted in one degree or another with the 70-year-old Silverstein." It's via these channels that Silverstein was uniquely placed to assist Israeli intelligence and the Zionist mafia in Israel and America with carrying out the 9/11 attacks.
As an American born Jew, Silverstein is committed to Jewish causes. He was chairman of the board of the United Jewish Appeal (UJA) and remains a member of the executive committee, along with his wife, Klara, who is also a founding member of the Jewish Women's Foundation.
His son, Roger, and his daughter, Lisa, are also UJA contributors. Roger Silverstein, director of leasing for WTC 7, serves on the executive committee of the Real Estate Executive Division of the UJA, and his daughter Lisa is co-chair of the UJA (source). According to it's website, the UJA is the most successful local charity in the history of the United States, and has raised millions of dollars in support of the Jewish community and the state of Israel.
Larry sits on the board of trustees for the Museum of Jewish Heritage, a "living memorial to the holocaust", and is on the "$500,000 and above" list of contributors (source). He's also contributed generously to the Jewish Children's Museum via Silverstein Properties, and is a supporter and benefactor of Tzivos Hashem, a Jewish children's organisation. He's a member of NYU's board of trustees and according to this article by Christopher Bollyn, he also holds or held a senior position in the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), founded to stop discrimination against, and defamation of, the Jewish people.
Silverstein has investments in Israel; in fact, in 1992 he co-founded the Israel Export Development Company (IEDC) which sought to facilitate safer investment in Israel. Interestingly, in an article called "Iran Policy Part of Long-Term Plan: Plot to Cripple Iraq, Iran Part of Globalists’ New World Order Strategy", Michael Collins Piper states that Newt Gingrich's wife was on IEDC's payroll in 1995:
In early 1995 the then-newly elected Republican House Speaker, Newt Gingrich, long a vocal advocate for Israel, gave a little-noticed speech in Washington before a gathering of military and intelligence officers calling for a Middle East policy that was, in his words, “designed to force the replacement of the current regime in Iran . . . the only long-range solution that makes any sense.”
That the then-de facto leader of the “opposition” Republican Party endorsed this policy was no real surprise since, at that time, Gingrich’s wife was being paid $2,500 a month by the Israel Export Development Company, an outfit which lured American companies out of the United States into a high-tech business park in Israel.
Marianne Gingrich was hired in '95 as Vice President for Business Development by Silverstein's IEDC, the same year her husband became speaker of the house. It was around that time that Newt Gingrich's foreign policy views became staunchly pro-Israel and opposed to Israel's perceived enemies, even to the point where he publicly called for the CIA to overthrow the Iranian government, as referred to by Piper in his article.
That was well before 9/11, and his views haven't changed. His wife had no experience in international trade, and before that appointment she was an image consultant for BeautiControl Cosmetics (source), but of course, she denied it was a political payoff. From this Dec 1995 article:
According to an article by Connie Bruck in the New Yorker of Oct. 9, "IEDC is trying to win approval from the Israeli government to manage a free-trade zone, and the Israeli government is highly dependent on United States aid—something that Gingrich is in a position to affect." It is no coincidence that despite drastic budget-cutting this year, Congress has left aid to Israel intact.
Bruck Describes the IEDC as an offshoot of the Institute for Advanced Strategic and Political Studies (IASPS), a hawkish arm of the pro-Israel lobby in the U.S. Marianne Gingrich works closely with its president, Robert J. Loewenberg, who is also chairman of the board of the Koret Israel Economic Development Fund, which assigns interns to key congressional offices. According to Bruck, Loewenberg writes lengthy diatribes in the IASP newsletter attacking the peace process, return of the Golan Heights to Syria, and "left-wing politicos and bureaucrats." He supports the immediate move of the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem, which Gingrich is asking Congress to endorse.
So Gingrich was staunchly supporting Silverstein's IEDC and it's agenda, and the state of Israel in general, but his beauty consultant wife's employment as Vice President for Business Development was not a payoff, even though Silverstein told the The Wall Street Journal that Newt Gingrich was one of several members of congress who were lobbied to support his company's proposal. We'll call it a favor then.
Silverstein's political views are supposedly "left-leaning", but in this article by Barry Chamish, it's written that Silverstein supported his friend Ariel Sharon of the extremist Likud Party in Israel's last election, which of course makes perfect sense. Especially in light of the fact that Larry is such good friends with Likudnik Bibi Netanyahu that they'd speak on the phone every Sunday (other reports say daily).
At the time of publication of this Haaretz article he was "the largest private donor to Hillary Clinton", rabid supporter of Israel, which bought him "an open door to the office of the junior senator from New York". So if Silverstein's dollars go to Hitlery in the next US election, that too will make perfect sense, given that she is the best "left leaning" candidate for Israel and supports the Zionist doctrine of regime change and endless war in the middle east on Israel's behalf.
9/11
Larry Silverstein has received a lot of attention since 9/11, and his involvement has been well-documented. Four members of his staff were killed in the attacks, but as stated in the aforementioned Haaretz article, "he himself was saved only because a meeting he had scheduled that morning with officials of the Port Authority on the 88th floor of [WTC 1] was canceled at the last minute". He went to a doctor's appointment instead, and later stated "I had said to my wife, sweetheart, cancel my doctor's appointment. I have so much to do at the Trade Center.. She got very upset and told me I had to go. As it turns out, that saved my life." Lucky Larry Silverstein.
One of George W's 9/11 connections is via Silverstein's hiring of Securacom (now Stratasec) for the management of electronic security of the WTC complex. The president's brother, Marvin Bush, was on Securacom's board of directors, and his cousin, Wirt Walker III, was CEO. S ecuracom was also responsible for the security of United Airlines Inc and Dulles International airport at the time, both of whom had starring roles in the 9/11 attacks.
Former UJA board member and Israel-firster Lewis Eisenberg further connected that organisation and Israeli interests to the events of 9/11 by overseeing the lease negotiation that led to Silverstein and Lowy acquiring control over the WTC complex. Eisenberg was chairman of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey at the time, and delivered his UJA friends the WTC despite their bid being lower than that of Vornado Realty Trust, which pulled out after it's failed attempt at negotiations with Eisenberg.
But perhaps the most incriminating piece of evidence against Larry Silverstein was offered up by himself in his famous interview with PBS for a documentary called "America Rebuilds". What he says is with reference to WTC 7, which collapsed without having been hit by a plane and which he owned prior to taking out the lease of the WTC complex.

9/11/2001 radio broadcast: "We were just sitting here watching all the smoke pouring up from number 7 ... we really couldn't see much damage on it ... I turned in time to see what looked like a skyscraper implosion, it looked like it had been done by a demolition crew ... that's number 1, number 2, and now number 7 that have come down from this explosion and folks just simply can't believe it. ... I just never for the life of me imagined that these huge buildings would just fall, and that's what happened, they just crumbled."
Larry Silverstein, the controller of the destroyed WTC complex, stated plainly in a PBS documentary that he and the FDNY decided jointly to demolish WTC 7 late in the afternoon of 9/11. In the documentary "
America Rebuilds", aired September 2002, Silverstein makes the following statement;
"I remember getting a call from the, er, fire department commander, telling me that they
were not sure they were gonna be able to contain the fire, and I said, 'We've had such
terrible loss of life, maybe the smartest thing to do is pull it.' And they made that
decision to pull and we watched the building collapse."
In the same program a cleanup worker referred to the demolition of WTC 6: "... we're getting ready to pull the building six."
There can be little doubt as to how the word "pull" is being used in this context.

Three months prior to the destruction of both towers the owners of the WTC leased the buildings, for incomprehensible reasons, to the Jewish real estate tycoon Larry Silverstein. Since then "Silverstein Properties Inc." took in the rent from the 430 tenants and other source income (i.e. tourist admission fees). Silverstein in return paid a leasing fee to the owners: "Only three months before the attack Silverstein signed a rental contract for the WTC. Silverstein agreed to pay over 99 years a total of 3.2 billion Dollars in leasing installments to the Port Authorities: 616 million as an initial payment and then annually 115 million Dollars. Then the catastrophe came upon New York. On September 11, only three months after signing the lease between Silverstein and the Port Authorities, two large passenger jets crashed into the towers. Larry was lucky, that he was not responsible for liabilities towards the Port Authorities, since the disaster was an act of God. Quite the contrary happened.
Larry Silverstein, despite not being the owner of the buildings, was the sole beneficiary of the insurance indemnity payments of more than 7 billion Dollars. Good for Larry that he had not forgotten to increase the insurance policies, just in time, when he signed the lease three months before the catastrophe happened: "Larry Silverstein, since July landlord of the towers, demands from the insurers 7.2 billion Dollars compensation, his speaker, Steve Solomon, said. ... The Port Authorities of New York and New Jersey, owners of the WTC, agree with Silverstein's demand." --Die Welt, Berlin, Oct 10, 2001.
The Port Authorities believe that Silverstein should get the 7,2 billion Dollar compensation instead of them, despite the fact that, as the lawful owners, should be indemnified. Larry, born under a lucky star.
The following insurance companies are liable to Silverstein's compensation demand: "Chubb Corp., Swiss Reinsurance Co., Lloyd's of London, German Alliance Corp., ACE Ltd and XL Capital Ltd." --Die Welt, Berlin, Oct 10, 2001.
Wonderful people like Larry Silverstein have many wonderful friends. With the help of New York's Jewish mayor, Michael Bloomberg, Silverstein found new investors, who are prepared to provide the money to build a new WTC. Who would be surprised if Larry's good-heartedness commanded him to donate a significant part of the insurance compensation to a needy Israel? The Harbor Authorities obliviously sail on the same good Samaritan wave, for they do not even want these vast pay-outs. Thus, God once more helped out his chosen people financially. The insurance companies, liable for the compensation to Larry, are to a great extent re-insured by "Munich Reinsurance Corp".
What a blessing for the Germans, they are happily committed once again to contributing financial good-turns to God's own people. In order to arrange even more help, Saudi Arabia is now considered a major source of future contribution: "Saudi Arabia as America's enemy, 'the core of evil' ... We Americans will annex your oil fields and your assets in America. ...
