RE: Notice of Claim Against the Estate of Mary Lou Woo, Steven Guttman, Esq., et al.
Dear Mr. Guttman:
As I have not received a response from you, or your professional liability insurance carrier, to my letter dated April 1, 2006, I am hereby giving you, and your respective insurance carrier(s), this NEW Notice of Claim against you, your law firm, the estate of Mary Lou Woo, and your unnamed professional liability insurance carrier(s) for the failure to respond to my prior Notice of Claim.
For this failure to respond to a Notice of Claim, I am asking for the sum of One Million Dollars ($1,000,000) from the Estate of Mary Lou Woo; plus One Million Dollars ($1,000,000) from you and your law firm, Kessner Duca Umebayashi Bain & Matsunaga; plus Five Million Dollars ($5,000,000), in total, from your professional liability insurance carrier(s).
As you have not disclosed the names of these insurance carriers, I am directing this Notice of Claim to you with the demand that you submit this NEW CLAIM immediately to your insurance carrier(s) and request that a licensed claims adjuster contact me as soon as possible, but in no event later than 15 days.
I also ask that you immediately acknowledge of receipt of this Notice of Claim, and advise me of the date when you submitted this Notice to your insurance carrier(s). Any failure of you, and/or your insurance carrier(s), to respond to this Notice of Claim, will be considered another act of fraud and will result in further claims.
