“During 2000, Providian Financial Corporation and certain of its subsidiaries entered into a government settlement with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office and the California Attorney General’s Office. Pursuant to the terms of the settlement, this letter is to advise you that $136.32 of the amount you owed to Providian on your account as of June 28, 2000 was eliminated and is no longer owed.”
Providian Financial Corporation is one of the creditors listed in our bankruptcy filing.
